Whether you realize it or not, you have talents. The question is: have you made the most of them?
This thought came to me after looking at my own situation. I realized that I haven’t made the most of my talents. In my case, there is one talent in particular that stood out: coding.
Coding has become my passion since I was in high school. I also majored in computer science at college. But after graduating, there were years when I didn’t use it at all. I eventually realized that I had an idle potential in me and decided to start an app business.
So now I use my coding talent. But a deeper question then arose: have I made the most of it?
You see, using your talent is one thing, but making the most of it is another thing.
After realizing this, I started looking for ways to better use my coding talent. I developed apps for personal use (which also taught me lessons about flow). I’m also learning a new technology that I plan to use to develop new apps. In short, I want to make the most of my coding talent.
What about you? Have you made the most of your talents?
Identifying your talents is not easy and knowing how to use them to the fullest is even less, but when you can do something that feels appropriate with your talent is a great satisfaction, even more if you do a job that allows you to put to good use your natural skills.
