Here we are in 2016. Before the New Year, I wrote about how to review your year. Now that we are already in 2016, I’d like to continue that post with how to make this year great.
Here are four ways to make this year great for you:
1. Start a new project.
A new year is a good time to start a new project. Do you have something you dream of doing? Now could be the time to make it happen. For instance, you can start a blog, write a book, or build a side business. Think about what project could take you to the next level, and consider doing it now.
2. Build a new habit.
A new year is also a good time to build a new habit. What habit do you think could make the most difference in your life? Start building it now. Don’t try to do too much in the beginning though. Start slowly, maybe with a mini habit first. You can do more later as you build momentum.
3. Renew a commitment.
What commitment do you have that needs to be renewed? For example, let’s say that your commitment is to put your family first, but last year you didn’t have enough time for them because of busyness. Now is the time to renew it. You could, for instance, decide that you won’t work past 6 p.m. so that you can have dinner with your family.
4. Learn a new skill.
A new year means a new opportunity to upgrade yourself. One way to do that is by learning a new skill. Think about what skill could be the most beneficial for your future, and take action to learn it. For example, if you want to improve your public speaking skills, you could join a Toastmasters club.

These are simple things, but if you apply them, I’m sure your year will be great.
Happy New Year!

Thanks, Anisha! Same to you.
I’ve always wanted to learn a new language. Maybe this will be the year I finally do it 🙂
Yes, why not? Good luck 🙂
Not only is this a great way to kick off the new year, but a great way to boost confidence and self-esteem. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the kind words!
