Ask the Readers: What Lessons Have You Learned in 2013?

First of all, a quick announcement: I just launched Life Optimizer’s Facebook page. I hope we can use it to connect with each other. I’d appreciate it if you can visit it and give it a like 🙂

Here we are now at the end of 2013. In a matter of hours we will enter 2014. As always, the end of the year is a good time to reflect on our lives. We should reflect on the lessons we’ve learned in 2013 so that we can do better in 2014.

So here is my question to you:

What lessons have you learned in 2013?

I’d like all of us to learn from each other, so please leave your answer in the comments. You can also leave your answer on the new Facebook page.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

  1. I’ve learned that being a deep person is not always the best thing for your happiness, but the key is to learn how to be a deep person and think positive, be more cheerful and grateful 😉

  2. I think my biggest lesson is how much progress you can make if you have laser focus and show up EVERY DAY. If you do that, the tiny steps you take each day add up to huge results in a year.

  3. I’ve learned that life can do anything to you. So never make promises when you are happy and never draw conclusions when you are sad. Improving myself to hold nerves in tough and loose conditions.

  4. My biggest lesson was to let go of that miserable, depressed, lonely part of me and concentrate on the smart and talented side of me. what I’m trying to say that I stopped caring about the fact I’m single and concentrated on being awesome and just being happy.

The biggest lesson I learned this year was the importance of organization. With plenty of things on my plate I tend to chew fast and not taste the little successes that come my way. I learned the value of slowing down, organizing my thoughts, and preparing for the next step. Most importantly organizing my schedule allowed me to spend quality and quantity time with the people I love.

  6. Two important lessons i learnt was; Do not take people for granted, treat everyone with unconditional positive regards. Finally, we have the power to achieve anything we want.

  7. When thinking about my business, I need to listen more to what’s going on around me and less to the voice in my head!

  8. Too much time in the office leaves less for your double life.

  9. Thanks for sharing, everyone! I learn from your comments.

  10. I have learned that, as people we over estimate what we can do in an event than we can do daily. meaning that is always important to do something daily that will enhance you towards fulfilling your dreams and ambition.

  11. When needing some kind of professional service, lawyer, surgeon spend time to find someone local who specializes in that service. All lawyers can do bankruptcy law, but find some who only does it, all surgeons can do mastectomies, but find that surgeon that only does breast surgery. Two truths I would have loved to have know one year ago!
