To find exactly what you need, try to be as specific as possible in your queries. Here are some tips:
- Use multiple search terms
This is obvious: the more search terms you use, the more specific the results will be. If you want to find the right tools to implement GTD (Getting Things Done) for example, search for gtd tools instead of just gtd. - Use quotes
Using quotes to search a phrase is a very effective way to make a search specific. Searching for time management (without quotes) for example, will give you all pages with the words time and management inside, whether or not those words are placed in that order. Searching for “time management” (with quotes) on the other hand, will give you only the pages with the exact phrase time management inside. - Use advanced operators
Google provides advanced search operators which allow you to find synonims, fill in the blanks, and more. Google has a help page that explains them in detail.
