My name is Donald Latumahina and I am an avid learner who have deep passion in information technology (IT) and personal development.
Since 1994 when I got my first computer, I have already “fallen in love” with computers. IT gives me huge opportunities to learn new things after new things which is very exciting for me. What makes me even more excited is the fact that IT has become such an enabler for so many people. On the other side, I also like organizational activities such as student union or church community. Through these activities I can develop skills which I won’t get in the class such as management and interpersonal skill.
I believe that every person has huge potential which is commonly “underdeveloped”, and because of that, I am also very interested in personal development. Unleashing the full potential of me and others has become my ultimate goal.
I was an IT lecturer for about four years in Indonesia, but I am now studying full-time in National University of Singapore.
If you want to, you can read more about me at Eight Random Things About Me.

Hi Vern,
Mahinahina Street? Sounds surprisingly close to my name :) But no, my name is not Hawaiian. It’s Ambonese. Ambon is an island in Indonesia. Unfortunately, I don’t have other bio online.
Glad to know you, Vern!

Hi Donald, I was wondering about the background of your name. I used to live on “Mahinahina Street” believe it or not. This was on the island of Maui. Is your name Hawaiian? Is there a more substantial bio online somewhere that I could look at? I really appreciate your blog, an amazing find! - Best of Life! - Vern

Dear Donald
I read your articles on personal development on the internet. They are very wise words but at the same time simple. I have written similar articles but not as inspiring. Would you consider writing a book on the same subject. I have published some of my own books, but no body else’s. I am in London.
Regards Robert

Thanks a lot for the encouragement, Mira!
It’s interesting to know that your dad is also a Latumahina. I don’t know for sure, but it’s possible that we are related :)
